So these are my two toddlers, Emily and Evelyn. Evelyn is the blonde, Emily is the brunette, (can you tell which is the problem child?). Anyways. They're a bit of a hassle to my two newlywed, new to parenting sims. They're both working jobs as a doctor and have a steady income, their money stays at around 10,000. They have similar work schedules, meaning this leaves the toddlers at daycare. The daycare isn't very good and doesn't help with the needs. So when the parents get home, and so do the toddlers, all of their needs are low and everything turns into chaos. The parents can't help the kids because they're dealing with their needs, and the kids are helpless. Do you think I should make one of them quit and become a stay at home parent? Or do you just have some tips in general. I would greatly appreciate haha, thank you!

If I have a single sim then I usually hire a nanny because I can still control my toddler to do things and have them ask the nanny to help them with their skills. Unless they cannot afford a nanny like my sim right now then I just send them to daycare and hope for the best.

I've had good luck with nannies in the past; sounds like your Sims have a good enough income to hire a nanny at least a few days a week, so you can keep the toddlers home and work on helping them develop their skills. Or maybe one of your Sims can switch his/her job to work a bit better with the spouse's Doctor career (maybe something that's mostly nights, like Culinary or Criminal), or they can quit their job and freelance as a writer or painter or programmer to pick up extra money, then return to work when the toddlers age up to child and are in school all day.

Unless you're really attached to the current jobs your sims have, my advice is to have one of them start working in a career that they can do from home. In one of my recent families they had a toddler and a baby which made things really hectic. The dad was a police officer and the mom was in the social media career but I'd usually have her go into work. So instead of having the mom quit, I had her start doing the work from home option and it got a lot easier because she could complete her tasks while the kids were content/sleeping and if she got any tasks that required her to leave, she'd just wait until her husband got home and could stay with the kids. It's especially nice because your Sim has from the start of their shift until the start of their next shift to complete the tasks :)

Working from home is the only solution I guess, if you don't want to lose one source of income in your family. It takes time as well, but at least there's enough time in the day to deal with all responsibilities. The only downside is you have to struggle hard to find any time for your sim to have some entertainment but I personally find the time managing aspect of the game very fun and challenging so it doesn't bother me that sometimes my sim is just in a terrible mood. That's how life is when you're an adult after all :D You could also dabble in gardening, start a nicely sized garden and then hire a gardener to take care of it and money for you while one of your sims just stays at home and dedicates all their time to the kid.

Your twins are adorable by the way. If I have a two parent family then I usually have one of them stay home with the kids until they are all school aged. If I have a single sim then I usually hire a nanny because I can still control my toddler to do things and have them ask the nanny to help them with their skills.

Unless they cannot afford a nanny like my sim right now then I just send them to daycare and hope for the best.

You could also dabble in gardening, start a nicely sized garden and then hire a gardener to take care of it and money for you while one of your sims just stays at home and dedicates all their time to the kid.

So I’ve play tested this and the only way I’ve been able to figure something out is by using cheats and mods. I use the build anywhere cheat and then place the suit of armor that you need for the pose player mod on the doctor’s lot. I can then summon the toddler to the lot. Then I’m able to control her at work. I have toys, books, a tablet, and a portable bed in her inventory. I also had the mom pack a lunch for when she gets hungry. You can also place a toddler’s potty using the build anywhere cheat. The only problem is if you don’t use mods I can’t think of another way to get the toddler to the lot.

They are the cutest! I totally get what you're talking about! I have a Sim family with THREE children, 2 toddlers, and 1 kid, ( soon to be 4 children!). Anyway, the mother Sim is a stay at home working mom, she paints and sells them to collectors. The father is a athlete, and only has 2 days off. They make a good amount of money for living for a large family. I think you should maybe have one of the parents quit and be a stay at home painter, it's a really good way to make money and take care of a family! :)

I ended up keeping the mom at her job as a Doctor, as she had the highest promotion. The dad quit his work and helped with the toddlers. They're now children, thank goodness, and the dad is now just starting in the athlete career. The comments were really helpful and I pulled a couple ideas from all of them, incase you wanted to see them as children, here are the pictures.
