- Karababy52New SpectatorThis is adorable! I'm guessing they left the ducky in the animation on purpose. Notice the ducky pics on the water wings? Maybe changing the ducky out for another toy would've taken too much time away from another new animation they wanted to add? I don't know... It would've been fun to have a shark, dolphin, shell, etc. instead, but it doesn't bother me in the least.
Also, I don't think an adult placed that toddler there, he has a plumbbob. I'm guessing the toddler walked out into the ocean to play all by himself, maybe? *shrugs* I'm also positive there's an adult there with him anyway, just off to the side out of the picture. Since it's from a SimGuru, it's probably staged so they could show that Toddlers can indeed go in the ocean to play. Anyway, however he got there, I'm just glad he IS there! :) The more I see about this pack, the more I want it! *grabby hands* <3 - XxAirixXSeasoned Newcomer

the rubber ducky kills the fun for some of us. would've it been better to replace the duck with a seashell.
I agree. I don't mind the animation since babies don't really swim anyways; it's the rubber duck that bothers me as it sticks out way too much. A shell or something would make much more sense. - neylajcSeasoned NewcomerThat is adorable but I believe it's a reused animation....
- I'd prefer having the toddlers be able to paddle in the ocean whilst holding their parents hand.

LOL are we celebrating the most basic things in the packs now? Shouldn't it be expected that toddlers would be able to swim in the ocean? The scary thing is that if they hadn't already made the animation, we most likely wouldn't get it - and they just copied the bath animation - at least change the toy ffs. Absolutely the most lazy thing I've ever seen. LMAO
The floaties are very cute though.
Isn’t that the toddler pool animation anyways? Do you really care they are reusing it? I think it’s nice they added toddlers being able to go in the water and I don’t think I would want the responsibility of teaching them to swim. There is way to much going on in my sims houses to add another thing to teach them.
It's not that I care that much, it's just an observation of how incredibly lazy it is. They could have cloned the animation and just changed the toy - it would have taken them, what, 5 minutes? They were already adding the floaters to the animation, so why not a new toy? I'm not asking much of them here, just that they change the plum toy. LOL
Of course we dont know anything yet, but i completly agree… This is a trend know anyway with this recycled animations.
I dont wanna compare this one too much with the sims3 but i would love to see something more like this. Not the same Thing of course but something new…
The recycling of the animation doesn't bother me too much but I totally agree with the people annoyed by the rubber duck. It feels out of place and it would be nice if the toddler would play with a more fitting toy or even without any toy at all, just splashing around, maybe take a handful of sand from where they are sitting or something like that instead of a toy. I wonder if they also recycled the animation with the adult in the kiddie pool and we have both options for them: alone splashing or with the parent holding them.
Toddlers are so cuuuuute in TS4 <3- LatinaBunnyNew Spectator

Yeah, I LOVED seeing my adult sims take their toddlers to the ocean in Sims 3. - I love that! So cute, cannot wait to take all the toddlers I have. May need to get some new ones too!

I think it's super cute...but...it kinda caught me off guard when the rubber duckie came out...ummmm..is this a reused animation for the bathtub? That kinda disappoints me...don't get me wrong it's super cute but it just seems cheap reusing the same animation...
They reused the bathtub animations for the Kiddie Pool in Seasons as well, it makes sense though, it's an animation consisting of the character playing in water, I would genuinly be surprised if they made an all new 'playing in water' animation just so it looks different in the ocean. If they did, it would be instead of some other new animation. Reusing animations when they make sense means we get more really fresh animation. Packs would be a lot more empty if they had to make new animations for everything every time.
