I feel like its like the alien before the update, while some always get abducted, my sims only get abducted once.
Nope - I have yet to get an abduction either.
Just to add - well if your Sims are Vamps then it would be right to have the game add Vamps because the game does seem to add Sims to the walk bys or as possible friends according to the Sims you are playing. In my case I have not played the vampire side of the vampire game. My Sim is human - his girlfriend and best friend are Vamps but because the Lore says never to invite them in or they will keep coming back - my sim never has. He sees his girlfriend and his best friend at their houses or goes places with them (meets them there) and they never come in the house. Some of the other Vamps in Forgotten Hollow like Vllad has come to my sims house and stands outside the door - it is never locked either - but they eventually goes away. My Sims Butler does not have my sims permission to answer the door or let any one in - so she never does and the Vamps never come in. There is no garlic wreaths, braids or anything like that in his house or on his person. I do have garlic in the trunks in his basement and in his fridge (for recipes) but no where visible.
