Sounds like your game likes to spawn Chestnut Ridge townies as much as mine seems to prefer Mt Komorebians, even in saves where I haven't even visited that world.
To my American ear, the Chestnut Ridge names evoke "backwoods" regions, and also some Native American naming traditions, so they're not all that immersion-breaking to me personally, but I can see them being jarring to people from farther away!
