Trait moodlet, but no trait (grumble)

A small rant..

I have this Sim whose traits I have never touched since his creation. After kicking soccer ball with his son for about 2 seconds (after which the game cancelled the action, because his son left), he suddenly and out of the blue got the tense Not Enough Exercise moodlet. And it says it's From Active Trait. Which he does not have and never has had. He has Fitness level 10.

What gives?

I actually had decided to not use mods anymore as I wanted to prove my own point in a different thread, but this bugs me a lot and breaks my immersion. I could understand if it had happened to a Sim whose traits I had messed with at some point, but that is just not the case with this Sim.

Sigh, I will grudgingly install a mod to fix this. And some other things as well :/

  • I've had this too with sims getting moodlets from traits they never had, especially "Lovelorn" for non-romantic sims, but also the tense moodlet from Active, when the sim has never had that trait. It is really annoying, and its bugging me too. And I do assume it IS a bug, and vaguely remember it being posted on the AHQ. Not sure if the bug was reported as "fixed" and the post archived, though. I've not looked for a recent, open post about it, haven't checked in quite a while.

NVM: there is an open post about it: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-quot-Not-Enough-Exercise-quot-for-Sims-without-Active-Trait/m-p/8570080#M117133

Apparently it was fixed, but seems it isn't according to the number of reports on this thread.
  • Thank you. I clicked Me Too. My game is up to date, so it can't be that fixed.
