Traits not disappearing after removing them? Bug?

Type in to the cheats bar
testingcheats true
Press enter
Type in
traits.remove_trait thenameofthetrait
Press enter
Type in
traits.equip_trait thenameofthetrait
Press enter
Type in
traits.remove_trait thenameofthetrait
Press enter
Then see if that helps.
By removing, then adding, then removing the trait it may help.

Type in the actual name of the trait, not thenameofthetrait :)

Traits removed via cas.fulledit don't really go away. This is a known bug that's been around since the game first came out. I doubt they'll prioritize fixing it anytime soon since it's a cheat-bug.

To fix it you'll have to go through and remove each of the traits individually by doing the following:

Use the Cheat Console by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+C. Input the cheat code testingcheats true. The type traits.remove_trait {TraitNameNoSpaces}

I have done this recently and it did remove them fully so hopefully it will work for you as well. If it doesn't try repairing your game to see if it fixes it. If it doesn't try removing any mods and try it then to see if you're having mod-conflict.

I can't seem to add dance machine, how is it written? dancemachine, dance_machine?

My guess it would be the first one try capitalizing it.

Does the cheat not allowed for more than 3 traits to be added?

Well a sim can't have more than 3 of the main traits (ie the traits you choose from when you create or age up a sim) so no it wouldn't allow your sim to have more then 3 of those at a time. However you can add as many of the reward traits as you want because the game is designed to allow that already.

I don't know, I haven't seem to remove some traits.

Thanks for your help so far, managed to get dancemachine moodlet remove, but struggling with noncommittal. I can't seem to add it.
