TS4 Just Acting EP?

Well we have gotten sewing machines before and none were about fashion. I remember making curtains, a pot holder, a Christmas stocking and stuff like that but not much to do with fashion so I don't know how that would help.

When we did have modeling in SS in Sims 1 there was no sewing machines - there was a chest of drawers where the model spun into some weird looking outfit and if we were lucky they tripped along the cat walk - walking all sort of weird. I found it rather - well just weird and not really what I thought of as a clothes designer making clothes and showing them off - etc.

I don't think a sewing machine will really help - it never has before - especially if it has no use in fashion anyway - which they never have in the Sims really.

Well, Sims 4 can do it this time, then. I mean, they do seem to try put a bit of a new spin on a few of the older concepts and packs, so why not?

I want sewing in general, even if it’s not for fashion! I liked making items with the sewing machines in Sims 2 and selling those craft items, etc.

I know Sims 1 doesn’t have the advanced stuff, but this is Sims 4, where they’re seperating so many concepts into tinier packs to make them more “in depth”, so I’m having the expectations of getting some in-depth stuff, for sure! :angry: If you’re going to cut the good stuff, then the stuff BETTER be in-depth and worth the cutting and taking my money into yet another pack!

So, yeah, Sims 1 is OLD, and Sims 4 is new, so Sims 4 should be an improvement and an UPGRADE from the older content.

So I’m going to hold expectations, since it seems they are cutting stuff to make things more “fleshed out”.

The surveys had ideas for a few fashion packs and a hobbies pack, so I’m hoping for some of that in future packs.

I’m tired of being told to settle for less, less, less because the older ones didn’t do certain things.

No! I refuse. This is a sequel and I should be expecting better.

And it looked like the game was doing well with the toddler and Vampires content. (And I am enjoying Seasons as well.)

So I will wait for more fashion content and more hobbies content in the future. (I’m waiting for my soccer net still.)

I’m still waiting for my beach/island content and my mermaid content, which are big wants on my own personal wants list. I want them to be done well, like anything else.

If we’re cutting more and more stuff, then the remaining content has to make up for that (and I hope for the cut content to show up later in a future pack).

There are two new careers that we know of so far. Other than singing, how many careers did you think would be in this pack, considering it adds fame to all the other existing careers?

at least three NEW, Like get to work had, and those careers are fully flagged!

one thing this pack will show is as always, it as less features, this time in the active career department.
like city living, get together, this pack it seems will focus on the base game yet again in parts. I would have liked a Extra NEW career instead to be honest.

if they wanted to add more to old careers, a patch instead, then we might have gotten a 3rd NEW career,

I thought we were discussing the sims 4?

we get 3 fully fledged careers in get to work and retail on top of that, with, baking/photography.

Ok, but you seem to be forgetting that GTW didn't have a new world, Get Famous does.
We still haven't seen much of its content to judge if it's a light EP or a packed one. If the world is tiny then yes you would be right to assume that one career isn't enough :lol:

I haven't forgotten, it as a small world. where do you think the retail stores go, also it has hidden lots for the three careers to.

This is purely a personally opinion based off what I have read or seen so far.
but its a pack about getting famous, surly the main focus should be getting famous in the careers, not a new world?
however I did want a new world. i just hope its not why they went skimpy with the NEW careers.

I wonder if after your sim does an acting role if your sim and others get to see it on the movies category to watch--that'd be cool.

I don't think the ''old careers'' are revised at all. Most likely, from what I have read and what we know at this moment, is that the fame and reputation thing is a seperate system.

I don't know who it was, but I remember one of the Guru's also saying that your Sim can have a reputation without being famous.

Sure, the ability to be famous with previous careers is nice, but I highly doubt they will change anything or add any gameplay objects to the old careers. It's just a system, nothing more.

The only brand new thing is acting, which this pack seems to be all about.

For 40$ imo they could have gone the extra mile and add onto the already in game singing/entertainer career (adding recording studio etc) and maybe a modeling career.

Sure, they can make packs about Singers/Bands and Modeling in the future, but I highly doubt that is ever going to happen. There are tons of stuff the game still needs, and if they try to add everything people want, 3 years isn't that long (or they need to start pumping out EP's and GP's left and right.)

Still no excuse to me that they seem to be cutting corners with every EP when they can. The idea is always nice, but the way it ends up being is shallow and very small. But yes, that is just my opinion.
