TV channels in the sims 4

Hi :D

I loved the Sims 2 on the TV. Really wished they'd have used better graphics. I had good little movies in TS2 TVs that I made. :)

I'd like to Sims, Sims 2, Sims 3 videos in TS4. How fun with that be? -Just higher quality. :D

That would be awesome:D they could make a History channel and there would be Bella's Goth biography :D At first they could show her as a child(TS3), then show her from TS1 and TS2.

I would also love the ability to add our own little movies to the TV channels. I like that in TS2- I had family parties and weddings and some abductions on their TV. :mrgreen:

TS2's TV channels were great, and using them again in TS3 just goes to show you can't improve upon perfection! Just kidding..TS3's half hearted way of reusing animatons and machamania is the problem and why you don't see TS3's own TV videos.

They reused TS2's TV channels..TS2's Karaoke machine animations, etc.

Low budget films is what comes to mind. Ever heard of those? they are 'b' movies...instead of actually filming a new scene..they just borrow something like a war scene (planes flying over head in a real documentary) and or files from government public short films, etc...and or borrow the footage of some long forgotten horror movie and splice it in. That is what TS3's TV channels remind me of. Sorry, but low budget since they didn't even bother to video the TS3 Sims for their stations.

Anyhow, TS2's commercials and news room stations, cooking channels were great..and couldn't be done in TS3 I don't think...you can't get a Sim to sit behind a desk long enough to film them.. :mrgreen:

I would like to see some new channels in TS4.

An HGTV channel..like the cooking channel but for house repairs...and remodels..gain mechanical etc.

A return of 'movie channels' for the Sims to watch..I loved those..Maxiods in TS2 really did care about their horror machamania.

News' stations that tell me something that is 'true' about a Sim in my hood/world..and or local news..how cool would that be? Yes, extra time to make the game remember what is going on with neighbors and broadcast it on TV. :P

And I miss the little crazy game they played on the video game machine you the little 'kingdom' thingy that was funny..and I miss being able to make my own TV stations and video games .avi for my Sims to play..

I agree sims 4 channels should have sims 4 sims, that way if your criminal sim does something or even your celebrity sim, you'll have they occasional surprise of seeing your sim on the news channel or entertainment channel (or even history channel down the line), they could do this by showing sim talking, then cut to still-pic of your sim (if they could animate that, that would be awesome), then back to anchor; it would also be nice to see your sim anchors on tv...maybe if it was footage of a sim being arrested and your sim was a cop and caught the infamous perp, they'll be shown being arrested or asked questions

what the funny part is that, we all saw Sims 2 incorporated via TV, in the Sims 3 game, so hence, therefore, now that Sims 3 is ending this year, when Sims 4 comes around and the sims watch TV, the sims 3 will probably be incorprated via Sims 4 TV, ya never know! :)

I think they could animate that(our playable sims doing stuff in the TV), because remember cinematics? But I doubt it would be logical if we saw our playable sim in the TV doing things he hasn't done, for example, stealing a car or something.

I forgot about cinematics, maybe it can be done

Meanwhile I wonder what the channels will be, maybe they will have, depending on expensive t.v.:

-Either black and white/color, occasionally static or crystal clear HD with good sound
-Maybe some t.v's can't hook up a console game
-Channels maybe:
*News Channel (ex: CNN)

*Entertainment Channel (ex: TMZ)

*Music Channel (ex: the old MTV, the bonus of this channel is that sims would not only listen to music but be able to see and learn dance moves after some practice)

*Kid Channel (ex: old cartonnetwork , nick, nick jr. for tots, disney channel for teens)

*Food Channel (ex: Food Network, Triple D for restaurant reviews or ways to improve cooking)

*TV guide channel maybe?

*Horror Channel (all/most scary stuff here)

*Movie Channel (like Sundance? I dunno)

*Talk Shows or late night shows ex: Oprah, Letterman

*Sports Channel (hopefully also includes basketball with football, can get scores from channel, could make a Superbowl party )

*Fishing Channel

*Reality TV show channel

*Politics Channel (those seriously boring, informative ones)

*Science Channel (like Discovery Channel, can include space of course)

*History Channel

(What kind of channel would a sim version of NCIS go on?)

cheap tv's only have a few channels, expensive tv's have all
(I wonder if they could use the News channel to, via patch update, announce new EP trailers...That would be news to both sim and simmer)

(Also, once awhile, sim kids must watch History, Discovery, or Politics Channel for HW, that idea is from how we used to be assigned to watch the President's State of the Union Address)
