Two Police Chiefs?

My sim was promoted to police chief and I decided to follow him to work to see what it's like. The former police chief is still there. Shouldn't this Sim be moved elsewhere/demoted? My sim can't use the chief's computer either unless I tell the chief to go away; this doesn't seem right. Haha. What gives?

At this point, I think I just will not follow him and pretend there's no other police chiefs, but it would have been nice to get "chief" job duties and fulfill them. Right now, I'm getting the same job requirements which isn't appropriate to the rank of chief as it is for detectives or lower ranks.

My police chief became the chief and the former chief was gone. But, there were no extra duties after all.

Once Active career sims reach the top of their careers, there isn't much left to do anymore when following them really. The exception would be for Scientist Sims.
