- Well they did say "Not all images appear in game", especially the Waterworld one and it's the only videos that shows features not exist in the game. But i really like how the sims looks in there, more cartoony than the one we have.
- Chicklet45368Rising TravelerYeah it's a little misleading, why didn't they use actual gameplay footage of what new players would actually be seeing in their game. The lighting and rendering of them makes the game look way better than it actually looks in person. Plus the one makes it appear like you can have an underwater house, which is not true.
They should have said, "For Promotional Information Only, Live Play May Look Different On Your System" - can ea stop wasting money on useless ads and give devs more budget to actually make a better game rather than rely on false advertisement?
- BurnziieNew Rookie"Paddock full of Unicorns"
A statement that would only be true advertising if it shown 3 and said 3, but no. It's shown Sims 4 pictures. I haven't seen any of the other adverts yet since I always use Adblockers but that one I've seen so far is a bad bad sign.
Remember Sims 1's "casting for the Sims" trailers? Showing all the ways you could create yourself/people you know by personality? That's far from misleading. - I thought they were funny! Could have done without the swimming one though.
- They would be entertaining if they did stuff that Sims ACTUALLY did in the game, like taking their dishes and washing them in the bathroom sink. The only one that's not misleading is that one where the guy's eating his meal on the toilet in the living room while watching TV.

Amen! I'm all for multitasking, but why are they obsessed with doing everything whilst on the loo? It's my knitting sims favourite place to craft!- Technically the actual in game footage of the sims is mostly all things you can do but the rest is pretty misleading. For example you can place a pool in a room and your sim can swim through it and use the furniture above water, which is all that it shows of the actual sim and that's a real thing, but the fridge is not.

You can have 7 cats at maximum and the sim part of the video shows 8 so it's only slightly misleading, but technically you could have other sims cats at your sims home so 8 in one room is possible. The mermaid in the bath part is totally misleading though as you can't multi task in a bath. The living rooms the only totally legit one as you can place a toilet in a living room. - userafwNew Spectator

I am an admin on an amateur humor/satire wiki...let's say there is lots of toilet humor there because it is EASIEST to do. Heck, we had a sort of parody of a Fisher Price logo with a very juvenile slogan on it involving cussing (FP made us remove it). The point was that it really doesn't require an adult mentality to curse, or use base toilet humor. Using the kind of strong language a drill instructor might use does not, in itself, make anything funny. Humor takes work. A LOT of work. And more refined forms of humor....take considerably more work than basic toilet humor. Even the thing with the mermaid in the tub brushing the teeth was supposed to be funny. But...perhaps the marketers could have benefited from HTBFANJS (how to be funny and not just stoned). That acronym is also on the internet, by the way, and if you find it, you may find a satire writing guide. Also...you may see a different word on the S that usually means a different thing, if you feel like looking it up, but in the end, it amounts to much the same thing. By the way, how to be funny and not just "plum" works well here too, given we all know the context of that here. - This still tickles me: Sims Life Waterworld - like nothing in this ad is true. It is unlisted on YouTube. https://youtu.be/vVB-1l17dOU
