Hello,So I have a rotational game that I have been playing for 4 or 5 years. It has always been on long lifespan and at this point changing it to normal lifespan is not an option for me. So essentially your game is totally unplayable for me...I was considering purchasing the expansion and was actually excited to do so. After totally breaking your game a couple of days before you release it though... has me questioning that purchase. If the game were fixed in a timely manner it would go a long way in showing your commitment to keeping the game in a quaility state, but after years of watching multiple bugs get ignored... I'm a little pessimistic. If the dev team could provide any sort of update as to the timeframe of this fix... considering it's game breaking, I don't find that much to ask. Something more definitive then "we are working on it".....Thanks in advance

Yeah jmac2727, I'm in the same boat. I have a round-robin game that has been going on for years. I don't dare open my game. All I want is an ETA for the fix.

my game i have been playing rotationally since sims 4 started , today as soon as i started up the game and loaded that save it tells me 2 of my sims who had only aged to YA the time before i played it had now aged up to adult so i have exited it without saving , this totally has broken my game for me as well , if i swapped to normal length it would screw up 25 families i playdid they actually test this patch at all ?it also means i will now be unable to play high school ep i pre ordered that's for release in under 2 hours

That being said, it's nigh impossible to provide timeframes on things of this nature due to the extreme amount of variables involved. Politely blowing people off is still blowing them off. I don't buy the "it's too complitcated" for an ETA. I think you can do a little better then that.. Come on, give me a ball park. Are we talking a few days, a couple of weeks, or years. If you scoffed at the "years" then just look at the track record for bug fixes for the sims, it's not unheard of. As a consumer of your product I expect more then "Sorry, we have no idea".

It's not only the games I play with long lifespam this effects, I am also wondering about the high school pack, as long as the age bug isn't fixed my teens will be in high school for ever unless I age them up and pass on the graduation.

Unplayable until fixed, please give us an ETA.

yeah, but the bug must not be important enough to keep us appraised of the status of the fix.. Maxis chooses to leave us in the dark and blow us off... to say I'm disappointed is a understatement, and the likelihood of buying the new expansion are shrinking faster and faster... tsk tsk Maxis, you can do better than this.

I thought we might have heard something a little more concrete by now, as the new EP drops in an hour or so.
This bug that came with the patch you have to install if you want the EP has broken the game.

Tell you what EA, no fix. No purchase.
It's beyond high time these issues were caught before a patch or gamepack ever rolls out to the player.

While I appreciate EA-Cade's comment, I work with technology, and usually I can kind of ballpark an ETA. In fact, I am expected to deliver an ETA when things break, to my boss (and the client if there is one). If I told her "Well, these things are complicated," she'd not be very happy with me. Right now, without an ETA, the impression that's given is "We have no idea what the problem is - and no idea how to fix it." (Which I don't believe, because the aging bug has happened before.)

Don't buy into the whole "it's so hard to patch bugs" grift that the Devs keep shoveling you. The reason they don't patch bugs faster is they don't prioritize bug fixes and testing. I'd be curious to see the budget breakdown of testing/patching and shoveling out new content.... 5% of the budget compared to shoveling out content... 2%.....
