Updated Hairs

The hairs are an improvement. I really like the box braids though I wish the afro had more detail. That may be hard to do with the clay look. What strikes me most about the pictures is how much better the skins are.

The roots look better on the new braided hair but they completely butchered the most of it, especially the ends. The male hair is just not much of an improvement. The female hair improved parts but for some reason they felt they needed to make the ends not braids and the braids just form into a blob before they come out straight. That one looks like a completely different haircut.

They both look like an improvement, but I wouldn’t have done away with the other ones just like that. They seem like two different styles.
Was the female one not available for males also? It will look odd on him now, with the baby hair and all that.

Then again, I don’t know what it’s like to have textured hair or how it’s ‘meant to be’ worn. I’d be the last one to ask in that regard.

That's why the braids hair looks so weird to me now! I couldn't put my finger on it but it just looked off to me somehow.

I think it is absolutely fine if someone doesn't like the updated hairstyle (I happen to do), but it is actually very accurate, especially the ends. It is very common to braid in synthetic hair - because braiding makes the hair shorter - and the ends are then burned. Since it is plastic you then press the ends together, twist them a little bit, to close the braid. And that is what the result looks like.

I prefer the old ones actually. The new female one is nice, but I wish it didn't override the old one. I really hope they won't start redoing all of the basegame hairs now.

I wonder if they're gonna update children hairs too ? These look weird to me. Especially the "Mickey Mouse" one.

I don't care a lot, as I never had a problem with those two. The larger afro though always looked weird, but I still use it and I don't really mind that it's not perfect. There are so many hair styles now that I don't need to like all of them. There's in fact plenty of the shorter styles for males that I don't like.

I love the long afro upgraded hairstyle, it looks so much better & prettier.

The greying afro looks like a bowl of ramen, if I'm honest.
