I won't the include the name of the simmer involved and who posted this but...
Yeah, good. It needed to be nerfed. Glad it's getting balanced too.
There is NO excuse for needing to vacuum 3 times a day and earning thousands of simoleons a night with no way to opt out of the simoleons, even if you like dust bunnies.
People need to stop comparing it to vampires. It'd be like if I bought the pack and they autonomously turned people. Every night my townies would get turned, and they would show up at my house multiple times a day and night and drop off thousands of simoleons against my will, then leave to turn more sims. What's more, I had no way to stop it besides disabling vampires all together.
This is not comparable.
Nerfing doesn't mean what you think it means though. It's not just "getting balanced."
When the devs nerf something, they almost completely tune it out of existence. If they nerf the dust bunnies, they'll basically cease to exist. Meaning you're literally spending $5 for vacuum cleaners.

Simmers bought Vampires then complained about the nightly break-ins and the fact Vampires drank blood. Wow.
This. And as a result of the nerf, I barely even notice vampires in my game. Unless I know for a fact the character is a vampire (ie Caleb, Lilith, and Vlad) I can't tell them apart from a regular Sim. Because they are, in essence... a normal Sim with fangs (and that's assuming that's the teeth they got when randomized.)
And Spellcasters came pre-nerfed in the sense, they only practice in their own realm, unless you direct to them. I've heard stories of people saying their spellcasters chose to nearly starve to death instead of perform "Delicioso," which should be the norm, assuming they know the spell.
It is comparable to the nerfing of vampires, because just like vampires if dust bunnies get nerfed, content
people paid for is getting removed without their consent. Which is
not okay.
