Want to gift a game pack, but don't know Origin ID or email. Can't buy code in box so I can wrap?

So, is gifting impossible now if you don't know a person's Origin ID or email address? I was hoping I could still buy the game code in a box so I could wrap it and give it as a gift. You know, like traditional gifts that somebody might want to put under the Christmas tree? A digital download can't very well be wrapped, and it absolutely ruins the surprise if you have to ask for their Origin ID. Also, just how do I give it to somebody if it's on MY computer if I don't want to ruin the surprise??? I mean, come on, EA! Think of the users instead of just your !@#$%^& money-grubbing selves for once! :( :s :'( >:)

  • Shred up a bunch of pieces of paper and write the gameplay code on one of them. Wrap everything up in a box with a bow.

i thought you meant to shred the code so they'll have to match it like puzzle and was like "wow evil" ?

but yeah i can't buy majority of packs because origin payment methods so -_- I wish they'd just sell the codes in stores at least in some way
  • Some stores still sell boxes - with the CD and you just use the code on Origin. I did that because here in Canada Best Buy had the actual game cheaper than Origin's download price
  • Target has the expansion pack boxes with code. Just saw them last week.
  • Yeah, if there is a store that sells the boxes near you or online convenient for you (it isn't just Amazon that sells the boxes) then IMO a box, even if it just has a code inside, is more fun as a gift.
