I really like multitasking. It saves a lot of time to work on your social or fun aspect while eating, for example.
That being said, there's so much lag and random Sim freezing in my game right now, it kinda defeats the purpose. But I don't mind the loading screens... but of course I'm not one who likes taking my Sims everywhere either.
