Honestly the multitasking is great! I love it! But was it worth the loading screens. Yes and no, for me.
Like IF they would JUST open the spaces a bit more... or a "neighborhood" a bit more (not a world), but at the least! a neighborhood, that would make the loading screens not as awful.
I feel that if my Sim lives around a bunch of stores, or houses, etc.. those houses and stores should be freely accessible. No loading screen. But let's say I wanted to go to the Pier, or to the Lighthouse, or the what's the place called with the "pond like" area where you can swim? Brain is drawing a blank. Anyways! you get what I mean.
Those places should have loading screens for the simple fact that there is no animations/boats, etc to get to them.
Between worlds should have a loading screen
Between houses and venues that are REALLY far apart, should have loading screens.
But the spaces shouldn't - so if I wanted to visit a neighbors house, I could without loading, or a venue, without loading.. I should be able to and also be able to still maintain what's going on over at my Sims house (especially when I have like 6 Sims at home...that I want to be able to still control/to be able to have them doing specific things where I can still see what they're doing), etc.
I still have my fingers crossed that this some day happens.. because we could use a little bit better openness...even if it's not full open world, at least something. :( While toddlers have finally filled some of the family play emptiness I was feeling before, loading screens are still something that cause me to be somewhat disconnected from my Sims.
