Wedding Stories. Ways to avoid complete disaster?

So, I have two Sims engaged. It's currently Friday morning in game and for a variety of reasons I want them to get married on Sunday. I have yet to actually try out My Wedding Stories with any dept...

I’d say, put everyone you want to control in the same household that you will be playing, and keep it to just a few things for the wedding.
