Weddings, Honeymoons & Parties

I just had a wedding today. I don't normally do this but today I got the idea of the bride and groom to each create a club of just their family and had each start a gathering so everyone could get acquainted (and also because I wanted to make sure they each knew everyone I wanted to invite to the wedding.) This became their rehearsal dinner of sorts and I may incorporate that in other families. I do usually try to have a dinner or house party before the wedding but I didn't want to fool with that today. I will also invite kids or toddlers (if my sim knows any) to make like they are the ring bearer and flower girl respectively. I wish we could have actual rehearsal dinners as events and of course bachelor/bachelorette parties but also engagement parties and wedding showers. I truly think there could be a whole game pack dedicated to improving the romance system altogether. Imagine being able to have a photographer npc for official portraits and of course things like setting bridesmaids/groomsmen. I think a pack like this would go great with an event planner career (but it's also a service) and all we have to do is have our sims pick a date and venue and the wedding or event would all be set up for us (I guess using the same mechanic as the festivals) and of course we could select certain objects or menu if we choose or let it be a surprise.
