Weird sim habits?

Sometimes I notice that my sims have some incredibly strange things that they're just OBSESSED with doing. Like my sim was on a date and both her and her boyfriend went and got a glass of water from the bathroom...five different times. Or like how sometimes my sims stop everything to do the Cool thing is cool thing with the bubble blower. Or how the sims, when in their old house, were SO obsessed with the dang barbecue that I intentionally didn't put it in their new house.
What are some of your sims weird habits? Why do you think they do it? Is there an actual reason?
And most importantly...why on earth did they both get water...five seperate times??

I've had multiple Sims who suddenly have to take out ALL the garbage because the toddler's potty needed to be cleaned.
And there was the family who out of nowhere just would not leave the woodworking table alone. This was before lot traits.

Oh good heavens, where do I start? Gardeners, when finished tending garden like to run inside the house to view a painting, which may be downstairs, gah! The bar, oh good grief, good thing it at least builds a skill but they end up going to the bar all the time. They used to just leave the drinks on the bar but now, I have one sim drinking all that she fixes.

The browsing the web, troll the forums, chat, I swear I will take the computer out of all my households. The only redeeming quality is, there's no computers in the campgrounds in GF or Selvedorada.

I'm not a micromanager but most of my interventions are to keep them doing what they're supposed to be doing instead of this. Once in a while I will let them troll, chat or browse but not when your hunger and bladder bars are red! :s

God, the browsing. The browsing. I'd almost forgotten about that. And also, my problem is, the second their bar hits orange, they're off the cue up five hundred tasks to try and solve it. Calm down, mate, you're alright for a little while—ohh he's off to sleep again.
  • I had one sim who whenever they were done with a book, would put it on the floor no matter what. They didn't have the slob trait either. I had to always click on it to be put away or drag it myself.

Also, this was probably a glitch of the sim or something but I had one sim that would use the toilet even when their bar was green. All the time, so I moved her out and let her pass away. Nobody else in the house had this issue.
  • I've just been reminded that the talking toilet is an A-grade nightmare. The sims won't leave that thing alone..

  • One weird habit I always see them do is when I Que up actions to use the toilet after drinking/eating, they will bring it with them while using the toilet. :D it's not really a glitch but I guess it efficient and something we would never really do in real life :p .
  • I have at the moment, a teen that keeps trolling the forums whenever I am not paying attention to her. I want her to earn character traits, but she keeps getting the trait (I don't remember right now which one it is) down because of being a massive troll. She is not mean nor evil and didn't have any mischief skill until she started doing that on her own.
  • Some my Sims habits when I have 8 sims in one big house. They're all day on the computer to chat (even when someone is besides then), troll the forum and playing games. Going to the Toilette who is far away when one is actually near by and way is not blocked same with the sinks. :| . Their dam Obsession with the Cat angle please let the cat some time alone and the talking toilet.
  • What is it with my mom sims never wanting to put their clothes on??? I regularly give some of my female sims lingerie and silk nighties for bedtime wear, but when they get up, they never put their everyday clothes back on unless its time for work or if I tell them too. And they do this around their kids! If it was just you and the spouse I wouldnt care, but you've got kids! And the kids dont wanna see their momma half-naked! Put your clothes on!

And Ive had to take away the computer a few times from my sims. They do nothing else but go on the computer. And its nothing productive. If they're going to be on there, I'd rather they work on skills or something for work. But nooooooo, they'd rather be trolls.

I've noticed that! Sims seem to enjoy placing things in the floor, including books and dinner plates! I mean, I'm kind of a slob, but I would never do either of those things, and I doubt most other people would, either. It's odd how Sims can stack dishes while cleaning up, but never when setting them aside! I'm super lazy, and even I will at least walk the short distance from where I'm standing to some place where I can set them down!

Oh, God, those things. I sent two of my Sims on a date to a venue that had them, and they spent more time talking to those blasted things than they spend talking to each other!

Another thing I've noticed is that Sims suck at multitasking, even now. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's so much better than the previous installments, but they seem to have failed to grasp the concept of setting down a book BEFORE you get the ingredients out of the refrigerator. They'll take out the ingredients while still holding onto the book, THEN set the book AND the ingredients down (on the floor, of course)! They'll usually resume making the meal autonomously, but sometimes they just go back to the refrigerator to get something else! Sigh...
