In this instance, although kind of creepy, I would find it rather funny because it is weird. My twin children were at school one day (supposedly, even though I know they just temporarily disappear but are really still there) but I heard them laughing. I tracked down the sound to the play room. I really wanted to figure out what they (invisibly) were playing with that made them so happy, but I couldn't. Oh well.

Just as an added note or reminder for any simmers, once you start getting glitches, whether they be funny or not, they can compound quickly. It may be time to clear caches and repair the game.

Yes - that happened with my toddler every time I sent her to day care. I don't think it's a glitch (I'd cleared the cache and repaired for other reasons quite recently). I think it's because they don't actually leave the lot through the normal portal (or return that way), so the kid is still sort of 'present'. All Sims make 'happy' sounds when they're happy, especially if they're asleep, and I think that's what we're hearing with the toddlers in day care.
