What are souls good for?

I'm playing Life & Death as spoiler free as possible, and two of my ghost sims have acquired an object called "soul". One bought it from Waylon, the other received it from a quest. Can someone explai...

    Hmm... Least spoilers as possible...

    Well...

    1. Click on the mailbox.
    2. The Reaper career.
    3. Thanatology? Not sure about that one though...

    I hope I presented the options as least spoilery as possible...

Thank you, that was helpful! 2 and 3 are nothing the sims in this save will focus on.

Will do 1 and see where it leads when I start my game today.

(On a sidenote, story driven saves are fun, can be such a hassle at times, when such little things become a problem.)

I went and tried option 1 and, wow! It's basically slave trading, but doesn't violate my lore. A nice option for evil/materialistic sims.
