What are the best traits for a good horse rider?

For aspiration something to do with the awards from the competitions leading up to something like Grand Champion owner or Trainer. Maybe when foals are bred from champions they could have money making potential like the nectar does. It would be nice if they could be sold or given away to other sims in our game.

I always try to make interesting characters instead of thinking what traits will help them most, but loves outdoors and cheerful or possibly self-assured come to mind. Slob could be beneficial too.

I'm not creating the "perfect" sim for this either. I'm browsing through my residents registry to find members for the equestrian clubs, and those with a certain sense of animal love, activity and fitness skill are added as club members. They will of course also need the Riding skill, eventually. I did keep an eye open for self-assured sims, but never thought of Slobs, that's interesting. Guess neat freaks won't stay for long in a stable :)

Of the existing traits, I'd say probably Active and Loves Outdoors. Maybe Adventurous. Maybe also Outgoing or Cheerful, to aid with bonding with the horse.

I'd wait until we see if the expansion pack brings any new traits for sims in CAS...

For now, one trait I'd certainly put is Animal Enthusiast. And maybe Loves Outdoors and Active too...

Thank you for this! My sim who I'm growing up to a YA actually hates children and now I feel she's suitable for the role I have for her.

I’d put animal lover, perfectionist and outdoorsy.??

I agree to Loner. I don't think a sim needs to be outgoing to bond well with its horse. Lonely wolves would probably appreciate the escape from other people, at least for the while s/he is with the horse.
