In no particular order here: I do have all of the packs and kits.
Get Together ( love the clubs, large world, wall/ wallpaper, new lots like cafe and night club, and the special lots.it came with, gaming and dancing it came with ).
Get to Work ( I love the 3 careers, and that you can pretty much sell anything in a store, and own the store ).
City Living,( I love the apartments, the festivals, lot traits, karaoke, bubble blower, at home game device, basketball, the different ethnic items and clothing. And the careers ).
island living ( I love the beauty of the pack, that there are so many swimming and fishing areas, sand castle building, suntanning, shell collections, sand collections, love the shipwreck lot and building over water, the fishing boat, jet ski’s and fish trap, and I also love the furniture.
Cottage living ( animals and what they make, country clothes, large lots, swimming in the river, canning, new plants, picnic basket, cross stitch, and fair. I like the old large country world too, and the new foods at the bar. ). Oh, and the simple living trait!
i can’t stop at 5 there are at least 4 more expansion packs that i view as essential.
Growing Together likes and dislikes, community lot, hiking feature, the splash pad features, tree house, children’s bikes, and in general the world it’s self.
LoveStruck, ( attraction system, cupids corner, love blankets/rugs and I really like the Spanish/Mexican world too. Wish it came with real hotels you could make though ).
Cats and Dogs, mostly for the animals, animal stuff, the collections and nice size world and lots. Lighthouse woo hoo, children’s furniture, and the pet cemetery were cute additions too.
Horse Ranch The Horses, goats, and lambs. and the World. Prairie grass collectibles and wine making.I was also glad they included native Americans. But basket weaving and a toddlers rocking horse would have made it better.
If they fix lots in For Rent. so they no longer cause corruption, I would add that expansion as essential too, mostly for the Rent feature, marbles, and hop scotch ).
I also like many game packs, stuff packs, and kits.

Five? I have to restrict it to five? That's impossible 😆 But I'll give it a go... so, in no particular order:
Cottage Living, Horse Ranch, Growing Together, Seasons and... noooo... there's too many to squeeze into the last choice lol... get to work while dining out and knitting in Strangerville!
i enjoy a mix of the adventure packs and the self-sufficient living themed ones. My current main save heavily draws from:
Cottage Living
Horse Ranch
Journey to Batuu
Realm of Magic
and I need either Snowy Escape or Seasons for snow.

That's hard! I use a lot of packs without even realising it, rather than actively playing with them, but I suppose I like the packs that add a tone of ordinary gameplay. I've limit myself to EPs, because otherwise I'd never be able to choose. So with that in mind:
- Getting together (I use the club-feature all the time!)
- Growing together (I really love the milestones and family dynamics, and the family reunion events is so useful for holidays, even if I don't really understand why my sim has to like their mother-in-law to invite her over for Christmas).
- Seasons (I love holidays, and the changing of the seasons. I also love the added gameplay of the seasons and the temperature shifts. If things had been implemented better this would have been number one for me, but it does annoy me that the weather seems off in some worlds, that it rains all the time unless you turn it off and that cloudy weather makes the world so incredibly dark.)
- Island Living (I just love Sulani and the gameplay and how free that world feels. I also enjoy the career and the beach activities. Are there things that could be better? Of course, but overall I enjoy the world and the pack a lot.)
- Cats and Dogs - maybe - it's hard to tell, but the ability to have animals I really like.

Difficult... I have almost all the packs but haven't used all of them equally because I tend to get stuck in the same worlds every time I start a new save... which is why I've been playing on the same save for over a year now so I can start populating all the worlds and use them more 😁
So until that changes, I'll go with these in no particular order: Get Together, Get to Work, Spa Day, Movie Hangout, Book Nook

Tough one, with many good packs to choose from.
Seasons, Cottage Living, Horse Ranch, Vampires and Get Together.

Had to think about this one, but here's my top five:
- Vampires
- Cottage Living
- City Living
- Horse Ranch
- Eco Lifestyle
- Plutosheart79Rising Traveler
I'll say that as far as the ones I find myself playing the most and really enjoying;
Get to Work - for just about everything it brings to the table in regards to careers, and actually being able to experience work instead of it just being a rabbit-hole. I actually have the most fun with the doctor career.
Island Living - Sulani is the most ridiculously gorgeous neighborhood, I love everything about it. Playing in it just makes me feel happy. I love having my sims scuba dive to find little trinkets underwater and then decorating their houses and lots with the little shells and things. I love playing the mermaids. Just everything.
Vampires - I just love playing them. I had Caleb Vatore marry Ulrike Faust because they're just so cute together. So now, she's a vampire in my game. And I love how creepy old Vlad is and how the other sims hate him so much. He just seems like an awesome villain.
Lovestruck - At the moment I'm not using mods for the most part, and this pack just had so many things that I've been wanting as part of the actual game that I ended up pre-ordering it as soon as the option to pre-order was available, which is unusual for me. I love what it's added to romantic gameplay, and I love trying to come up with fun new profile pics for each sim I play that uses the dating app based on that sim's personality and camera skill. Everything from one of my more romantic and artsy sims staging a flirty photo shoot with attention to background, outfit, lighting, pose, her choice of filter, all the things to another sim just taking a quick bro pic of himself at the gym with some other sim's wife's booty in the background. He probably has a fight coming his way at some point, haha.🤣
Get Famous - I love playing around with fame, working on getting it up high enough with certain sims that I want to be famous. I also like how it diminishes over time and is easy to ignore with sims that I don't want to be famous, without having to turn it off, but it also takes some effort to keep a sim at a specific level as well. So I can have a couple here and there that are worldwide celebrities, a couple in each neighborhood that are well-known pillars of the community, and a few that might get their 15 minutes of fame and then fade back into obscurity. And I also like how the paparazzi follow the big celebs everywhere they go.
Close runners-up are Spa Day, Seasons and My Wedding Stories. I know the latter is glitchy, but I still really like some of the items as well as some simple things it adds to the whole engagement/wedding process that really brings it to life for me in the game.

Plutosheart79I agree Sulani is beautiful! And I love the potential for rags to riches, off-the-grid gameplay (when it's working), and general self-sufficiency.
It sounds like you're really enjoying the storytelling with Lovestruck!

In no particular order: City Living, Dine Out, Discover University, Growing Together, and High School Years.
These packs have brought me the most excitement upon announcement and after purchase. Though some are old now, I still use elements from the packs in my average gameplay. I love any pack that enhances family gameplay. I'd of course put Parenthood up there too, at least in my top 10, although the pop-ups have become super repetitive at this point.
