This is one community that I don't ever play, but I want to change that. In the past I've attempted to put in a restaurant, but the lag there was something else, not including the long wait time on top of it.I don't care for the business that are there either. I've checked them out in the past, and even tried to play them, but they just don't keep my interest. So I've decided to do something about it, but I don't know what. So I was wondering if you have done any changes there, what did you do with Magnolia Promenade?

I replaced the existing lots. I put in a restaurant, bar, nightclub and a new more open retail lot. Now with Seasons there is a rink nearby as well. I see it as a waterfront entertainment district.

I was thinking about changing it to residential only, but I'm not sure yet.

I tried to place there community lots where sims get invited often, so I would remember to visit the place. I chose a restaurant and a night club. Aside of those there's a gym. The fourth lot I haven't decided yet, but it has to be community lot, because I don't want to have a residential lot with no neighbours.

My Magnolia Promenade is designed for the ladies. I have a spa, a bridal salon/clothing boutique, a restaurant, and a serenity shop where they purchase herbal potions, candles, and other spa related merchandise. I might remove the restaurant and add a florist shop.

Same. I casually forget its existence and only go there when I want Sims to eat at the fanciest restaurant in town.

Yeah, similarly, I have two restaurants as well. In my current save, I've turned it into a kind of "romantic date" commercial venue.

So, two date night restaurants, one super fancy, one a little more casual, a cute little romantic park, and a sexy spa. The fancy restaurant has a wedding arch, so sims could get married there, then pop over to the spa for a "honeymoon." So, it's kind of like a little getaway resort, without having to take an actual vacation.

I've changed it from park to a gym. Added gym equipment, hot tub, yoga, slip n slide, toddler stuff and some other small changes.

My single sim just spent a whole day at the gym, using autonomously slip and slide (several times), yoga (first on her own and then I directed her to take a class), hot tub (for napping though). The swimming pool and the diving board don't get much use, but I have a club that likes to jump into the pool.

I had intermittent thunderstorms and heavy rain for about five days during summer. At the moment, it's cold and in my opinion, very pretty.

Did you just lock the doors for specific sims?

That's what I have done. I build apartment buildings with four to six units and create in CAS or "move in" renters. They, technically, are one household, but, If you lock doors for all but that renter(s), then it works well enough until we get the proper programing.
