What happened to Get Together parties?

The last such party one of my sims attended, took place at the Von Haunt estate and the DJ didn't start playing until the rain stopped. And it was very light rain, not heavy rain, most sims weren't even using umbrellas.

I've seen many things suggested in this thread, but personally haven't noticed any relation with those? My sims who is a loner family dad with low dancing skill reveived this coveted party invitation once. What I'm thinking though is maybe you need a friend who lives in Windenburg? The invitation came from Morgan Fyres. It was also a new save.

I only ever seem to get festival invites, it's been this way for a while.

@musteni You could be onto something there, hadn't had a party invite in a long time but last night my sim who had just made friends with Morgan Fyres was invited to a dance party at the bluffs. This is a new save I've been running for a couple of days.

Of course it was daytime so they just stood around chatting with nothing to do. There was no dj or actual dancing.

Am glad this thread has been kept alive. Maybe it will get noticed!

I wish I knew more about mod creation as I would have a go at seeing what was going on.

This game definitely seems to follow the laws of entropy. As new packs are released, the older ones seem to tend towards decreasing disorder.

The pack is called Get Together, but no one Gets Together any more :(

I still so love the fun Get Together outdoor parties at the 3 special lots & the beautiful big Windenburg World. It's still the best above all the other packs. ;)

My sim got an invite to a party at the bluffs just a few days ago. It functioned as intended after I cheated the weather to not be raining. I have a screenshot but I'm not on my PC now.
It wasn't one of the Windenburg sims that invited her, but a sim I created myself and put in the game as a townie. It was also not the first household in this save either. This is a base/template save I've used for years and it starts at one week played because I wanted to have completed the StrangerVille mystery. It was a single sim household with a sim who travels frequently, especially to bars, lounges, nightclubs, etc.
I do have some mods that affect what type of phone calls you do and do not get, but none specifically related to Get Together I think. It may still be a factor in this matter though.

I just got the party invite in my very old save. It was after they hit 5 at dancing skill, so there could be something there. However when he went to the party the DJ table wouldn't work - said electronis don't work in a rain - even though it was clear/sunny. I waited for over 24 hours because I remember someone once mentioning the electronics need to dry to be used again, but no luck. It's broken.

@musteni Yeah, I am pretty convinced it is simply broken :disappointed:

I have tried pretty much every suggestion in this thread and not getting anything.
