- I couldn't vote because you're basically mixing "Several packs about Seasons" (which I don't mind) with "Seasons only in one place" (which I do mind), which are completely different topics not necessarly linked. I'm in the "I'm happy to buy several packs but I want seasons everywhere at the end" camp.

It's not based on suspicions, quite the opposite actually : they have already commented that restricting seasons to a specific world isn't what they would like to do. So odds are "weather confined to one new world" is in fact the least likely scenario. "Writin_Reg;c-16212917" wrote:
Sims 1 vacations were all in one pack as well as I recall. You just did not have any weather in the regular game.
You do realise you're talking about a game that was released almost 18 years ago? That would definitely be a time warp to go back to something that came out that long ago.- since i am deeply disenchanted meantime with this franchise so one feature more not done properly doesn't change for me anything anymore
i would rather even expect it by now that it will disappoint further as so many things with TS4
the things which are better done, more detailed, smoother working are burried under all the things not working, working wonky, plainly glitched & bugged or "intentionally" limited, prescripted & skewed
i didn't vote
cause none of the options fits for me
i am neither fine with it nor unhappy
i lowered my expectations, the price i am willing to pay & my emotional involvement
EA has to deal with fans of their franchises resolving like that, they have to know if that's fine with them to produce mediocre games
i think meantime we were VERY lucky with the first 3 iterations while other EA franchises & IPs suffered a lot for years !
now with TS4 EA's normality arrived with this franchise too, that's all what happened
it doesn't make it right or good but from that perspective at least it is not a drama for me anymore - it should be a drama for EA
it should be a drama for EA because this is not the only game out there, not the only franchise out there & EA is not the only games developing & producing company out there
the more EA lowers their standard the easier it will be for other companies to compete"Cynna;c-16213413" wrote:
I would love to see a weather system similar to what we had in TS2. The entire world had weather. Each sub-hood had its own weather. IIRC, we could even determine how long each season lasted for each hood (or maybe that was TS3, I forget). It was wonderful.
both games, TS2 & TS3, have such features
one example among many why they are deemed superior to TS4 :cookie: - Seriously, how should it work to split them all up? You get into total summer and heat into hardest winter from one day after the other, because you didn't buy autumn pack? Only have snow and sun now but no rain?
No, seasons have to be in a complete pack. Anything other would be nonsense. It's okay to split up creatures as I want to have vampires (and fairies) but no zombies or werewolfs (never played them on TS3). Maybe even pets if they focus better on the stuff. I could think about splitting holiday packs (what would be ok for me, if they have more details then). But seasons? No. really. If they want to give us good weather changes, everyone needs all seasons and whether in their game. "Neia;c-16213465" wrote:

Ok, thanks for answering, so it’s purely hypothetical then fortunately. I sure hope they’ll implement weather in one package.- My Sims live in Oasis Springs and I would love to see rain there. Spring and summer would certainly be a thing there, maybe fall? Not sure. I live in Florida and our leaves do change color, but not when you'd expect. No snow, but it gets darn cold lots of times for the tropics. Heck we got down to 30 degrees plenty of times. I would love to see seasons in ALL worlds. To have it confined to just one is goony. I agree with the toggles...pick and choose the seasons/weather you would like to see in your existing packs.
- I'd rather have weather in different destinations. If seasons come in every world, I hope there will be an option to turn them off in the worlds we don't want to have them.
I would love to see different seasons in different Parts of the World like real life, that would make the game, even more, fun. I love that idea. :) . I do want a beach vacation spot, of course, that's a no-brainer but that's summer and we have summer. We need Autumn and Winter Worlds. That should be outside of just a vacation Pack,
>:) Don't try to fool us EA. ;)- atreya338 years agoSeasoned AceI don't think it would be a good idea to limit weather to one specific world. Especially since there are no custom worlds, I think it should be possible to get weather to all worlds.
- Then we form an angry mob.
