What is up with those bubble blowers?

It's unfortunate, isn't it?

They're very cool objects but I've rarely used them because of this. The sims just can't be around it without stopping what they're doing to either be angry with it or in awe of it.

They don't do it enough for me to remove it, unlike that obnoxious bbq my sims used to have, but it's still a bit...weird.

They do this with the talking toilets too. I had to get rid of them because they'd cancel other interactions to constantly stop and appreciate the toilet. I mean, really?!

I'm honestly disappointed with the way they implemented the bubble machine in this iteration of the franchise... especially since it was one of my favorite items in previous games (I think Sims 3's bubble machine was the best, especially with all the fruity and sweet flavors to choose from). This item was always just fun to use, but it's really pointless in Sims 4... especially when the Sims have completely random reactions to it for no reason at all... I especially cannot stand the "What IS it!?" reaction they sometimes get. It honestly makes no sense.

I agree that the Sims' reactions towards it is odd. And even after you made them use it, they still have the urge to get all judgy face with other Sims using the bubble blower. It is especially weird to me, I suppose, because there are at least 8 (!) Shisha bars in walking distance from my house, so the shocked reaction or the "what is it" seems very forced. Use it or don't use it but please get over it!

Yes, that annoys me, too, especially since I turned off free will. No autonomy should mean exactly that, including no forced reactions like this.

They could have made it a hidden trait, then the reaction would be consistent at least. Also that way control freaks like me could cheat-edit for every sim whether they approve of or condemn the bubble blower/talking toilet.
