- Single. I usually get my sim with someone, though family play starts to get boring as it's too easy to be successful in the Sims. I rarely get past the second generation. The only time the game is interesting for me most of the time is when my sim is still poor and struggling to make it.
- Goth5838 years agoSeasoned AceI am playing generationally at the moment and the heir usually has two-three children at most. I try to skill build with my heir when they are in their teens so I can spend less time doing that during the YA stage. I also have them meet their spouse when they are a teen. I also like drama, so all of these choices are potentially possible in my game, and then some!
- Hermitgirl8 years agoSeasoned AceI do play many different ways but my favorite characters are started out single and played for a long time before I get them coupled up or hitched. Often when I do play larger families there is a central sim that everything revolves around.. and it goes back to that I do like mostly to focus on one sim at a time... or that when it becomes about time management it just isn't fun to me anymore.
- I'm all about legacy play. I love making big families and continue on with each of the children to continue each of their lineages.
- I would always try just have one child so I can stay with them and give them my full attention, especially in legacy
- mikamakimon8 years agoSeasoned AceCouple, no children. Since I started playing the game, I've only had one child in one of my saves. Maybe one day I'll get back to that particular save, but right now I'm enjoying couples, with pets! :)
- What can I say? I'm a fan of chaos! :D
- Lumiasta8 years agoSeasoned AceI think I have often roommates households just as often as couple (+ possibly children) households. Sometimes the roommates stay even if one of them gets married and the new spouse moves in. Then there's not-really-related aunts and uncles to help when there's eventual offspring. I play with aging off, so often the previous children have grown up and moved out before there's another, the number of children I chose in the poll is reflecting more on the size of the household than children. As much as I create and set up single households (especially now with pets) I grow bored very fast with them, I need a full or almost full household to micromanage, thank you!
- FlyingPotato6598 years agoSeasoned AceUsually Sims 2/ Sims 3 - i have more than one child but in The Sims 4 with the parenthood gameplay - i mostly focused on one child
- Almost every family I play always has upwards of four children, because almost every family I play is a Legacy family and I like have options for heirship.
Although in two of my current legacies, the founding couples had only two children. And once upon a time back in the days of TS2, a founding couple had a single son.
