What is your favorite occult?

Vampires are the most fun to play since they have the whole point system and you can choose their abilities.

Mermaids I find a bit disappointing cause even though they look amazing they really don't do anything that's interesting or cool and the fact that they can do less in the ocean than regular sims makes no sense to me at all.

I've never played aliens or ghosts.

Sorry I meant to hit vampires as my vote.

Mermaids. If we are offered some cool werewolves at some point, I'm sure they will become another fave of mine.

As lacking as they are, I still adore my aliens, and while shallow (heh), mermaids quickly captured my heart, and of course, vampires, being the only occult to be handled well in this game, are awesome. Ghosts are just boring this time around but it's still nice to have one or two playable ones in a save. I really wish plantsims were actually a thing instead of having been a thing for a challenge and now being a buggy remnant of a broken feature, but what can you do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

All of them are just a temporary fix as I eagerly await the werewolves...

Mermaids win out ever so slightly over vampires simply because I love all things watery and beautifully incomprehensible. That, and mermaid forms are just more fun, seeing them swim and twirl around is amusing and the idle animations (1. cupping their hands and singing and 2. that super derpy one where they flap their hands and make weird noises) are adorable.

I'd say ghosts, but I only like fire ghosts for their ability to set anything on fire--And being a person who wants to thin the herd, its great to have around. Their overall abilities are definitely lackluster and some don't have anything worth manipulating (like drown ghosts being terrified, or "tense" in TS4's sense, of water and constantly being an annoyance by leaving those gosh darn puddles around), but they're great for being able to repair anything they break :^)
I like Mermaids, for the same reason @GGgkkg said, their idle animations are adorable and their forms are rad, and I like vampires like everyone else since it's obvious they're the best gameplay-wise...

But my heart definitely goes out to the aliens, and I love them dearly. There's just something about that mind wiping that's great to manipulate in gameplay, transmuting, and that insanely creepy alien baby cry that really butters my muffin. LOL

Vampires are my favourite, with aliens and mermaids tied for second, and ghosts are annoying because they still have all their needs.

Vampires are ridiculously fun to evolve over time, plus they have better items have more story potential than all of the others combined.

Well....I like ghosts too, but I wish they'd put more work on them. And since they are are BG there's no reason to not update them. I wish ghosts in TS4 could reenact their deaths like on TS2, or mean scare sims (their scare is friendly can't even understand that).

Overall my favourites in the game are the Vampires. In the series, I'd say witches, vampires, ghosts and plumbots. Aliens and mermaids are cool, but not my favourites.

I was right about vampires being super popular. I don’t even have the pack! :D

I want to vote but sadly my favorite occult is not yet been released. However just a tip, it will focus on the Realm of magic ?
