Which of the occults currently in TS4 is your favorite? (I’m already predicting vampires will win by a landslide.)

Vampires are the most fun to play since they have the whole point system and you can choose their abilities.Mermaids I find a bit disappointing cause even though they look amazing they really don't do anything that's interesting or cool and the fact that they can do less in the ocean than regular sims makes no sense to me at all. I've never played aliens or ghosts.

I'd say ghosts, but I only like fire ghosts for their ability to set anything on fire--And being a person who wants to thin the herd, its great to have around. Their overall abilities are definitely lackluster and some don't have anything worth manipulating (like drown ghosts being terrified, or "tense" in TS4's sense, of water and constantly being an annoyance by leaving those gosh darn puddles around), but they're great for being able to repair anything they break :^)I like Mermaids, for the same reason @GGgkkg said, their idle animations are adorable and their forms are rad, and I like vampires like everyone else since it's obvious they're the best gameplay-wise...But my heart definitely goes out to the aliens, and I love them dearly. There's just something about that mind wiping that's great to manipulate in gameplay, transmuting, and that insanely creepy alien baby cry that really butters my muffin. LOL

Vampires are my favourite, with aliens and mermaids tied for second, and ghosts are annoying because they still have all their needs.

Vampires are ridiculously fun to evolve over time, plus they have better items have more story potential than all of the others combined.

I love all things supernatural, but vampires are always going to be my favourite. I've always been particularly drawn to vampires in fiction so I admit I am biased, but I also feel vampires in TS4 are really well done. I just love how versatile and detailed they are. The only thing missing for me other than vampire hunters is werewolves. My vampire needs a pet - ahem, I mean rival.

I can't say I care much for the aliens; never really enjoyed foreign food. Seafood is a delicacy I will engage in on occasion. Ghosts? Well, there's just nothing there.

Vampires are the most well done.

Mermaids are decently okay, but could use a lot of work. I've modded them a bit myself and other modders are working on them as well, so I've been enjoying them more.

At least until witches make a return! :smile: I've never really cared for the occult life states in any Sims game, except for witches. But, vampires would probably be a close #2 if I had to choose one.

This is no contest! Gameplay wise there's just SO MUCH you can do with vampires. Its literally the only occult so far that is fully fleshed out. I love mermaids, but Vampires just have alot more going for them.

Naturally born babies of occults look like random townies. You have to create their toddlers in CAS.
