It all sounds like good story, maybe Judith is old fashioned for a celeb and wants someone to stand in as baby daddy even if he's not the one? Or maybe she hopes to be turned so she won't have to age any further?
From how you've described your vampire, an opportunist, marrying her for the money (and hers) then either ditching, or else keeping her as a part of your herd and a nice place to set up a lair, seem plausible.
