What's the longest you've ever played with one family?

It's been so long, I don't actually know exactly how long (Probably two years?). But I'm currently five generations into a long-lifespan family. Getting close to starting my 6th, just need to get the marriages going :blush:

My all-time record in any sims game was child of the 6th generation, so I'm looking forward to surpassing it! >:3

I started playing TS4 in May last year. I still play the first family I made back then, occacionally. I do take breaks to play other saves, and some times those saves take over and I don't play my first family for months.

I currently have a family on five generations. They're all descended from my original simself

For the last 3 years I've mainly focused on one family and made it to the 4th generation. I feel like with how long I've been playing them I'd be much further into it, but I play on long and can't bear the idea of my sims passing so I take my time with them.

I still focus on my main couple after playing TS4 on and off for years. No new generations.

The longest I've played with one family is I believe 6 generations. That was a long time ago but as more packs came out I felt like I needed to start over to get to know all the new sims that have been added in those packs.

Does real life time count too? I don't play generational, but I have a family I played since 2014 (in different saves), actually even longer as I already played them in TS3. In TS3, they were the last generation of a "legacy" (didn't know about the actual challenge back then) and exactly the 10th generation before I moved on with them to TS4.

First it started of as a Legacy Challenge (10 generations)
then it became an Alphabet Challenge (26 Generations)

then after 26 I just decided to continue for as long as I can from there :D

I am easily distracted and have way too many saves (at least 16, I think. I said I would merge some of them before Seasons came out but then I forgot oops) but I am getting close to three gens in the first rotational save I made.

Same here. I don't play generation but my 2 favourite Sims are from 2014. And my Vampires I've been playing since release of the pack :)
