When are you guys going to let players join each others game?

Lots of Simmers like to play offline as they hate Origin and some even EA/Maxis. I,myself, wouldn't mind if you were given the choice, when installing, if you wanted to play online or not.
The online game would need to be heavily policed though and no mods allowed. It might be a good way to spread a bad mod or CC virus if EA/Maxis got a bit lax. (They seem to have had a bit of a hit lately with their servers going offline from what I gathered from Twitter chat).
