- Eventhough I created and download a lot of YA townies. They hardly show up anywhere (only Adults show up!!) I have to go to their homes to meet them :( I don’t know why the game just stop spawning YA at venues.
- alan6506 years agoSeasoned AceYou could add tons of young adults from the gallery and put them in various households pretending they are roommates. You could go visit their houses and pretend you are part of a welcome wagon to meet them!
- ChampandGirlie6 years agoSeasoned AceEvery so often, just like building, I have play sessions or brief times when I go into Manage Worlds and edit or delete townies. If I were to want a bunch of YAs, I'd use CAS.fulleditmode in the testing cheats to change the ages of some townies. Sometimes I give townies full make overs resulting in having a population of them that I like. If I can't be bothered, I delete them.
I leave a few weird ones around to add to the variety but I willingly cull ones I don't want to keep. I just say that they moved away.
Edited townies have resulted in some of my favorite sims. Starting as a townie means that they can look a bit unique when I'm done with them. Some of these townies have married into my game and become playable or have become "main characters" in my save. - My game was lacking teens when my latest crew became teens, so I just made a bunch. I play with MCCC, so my game is usually plentiful with each age group, but sometimes it's gotten turned off due to updates, and by the time I realized it I had a gap. Or sometimes townies are just having babies at the wrong time. You can change the percentage for each age group that the game generations with the mod, which is helpful.
I, too, would rather pair with randomly generated townies or sims that are offspring of other sims in the game (for instance, my current generation is Cassandra Goth's grandchild and Johnny Zest's great-grandchild. One is the grandchild of the Pancakes, and another is the great-grandchild of the Bheedas). The Lothario family still exists strongly in my game, too, so I'm hoping to get some of their genetics into my game eventually lol. Don only had one son, Zachary, but he was more of a player than his dad. He has three kids with his wife and two illegitimate kids. He's still young, so he could have more LOL.
It's more fun than ones you created, but I did hit the random button a lot in create-a-sim with the ones I created, so they don't look like sims I'd normally create. In fact, my sim just started dating one, and I forgot I created him because he doesn't look like a sim I'd create. - CaprianaB6 years agoSeasoned AceI'm seeing more YAs since I got DU. There still aren't many townie teens.
- This happens to me too and I have aging turned off. I just cheat down some of the adults to be YAs
- The game generates adults to fill almost every service job there is, especially bartenders, gym instructors, and yoga instructors. I see a lot of adults and elders working at restaurants, and as stall vendors, baristas, DJs and DJ Headliners, guitar or violin buskers, and weirdoes. It's rare that my game generates a young adult in one of these jobs.
I'm now seeing mostly elder vampires being generated in my game. I deleted six elder Vampires from my game last night. None of them were employed, three had no skills at all, two had level 3 Cooking, and one had level 3 Painting. Two had the Bodybuilder aspiration and one had the Serial Romantic aspiration. I had no use for any of them. At least my game is generating Vampires again.
The only time that the game consistently generates a young adult is when a Librarian is needed. I also see several new unemployed young adults generated at the Geek-Con festival but not at the Spice or Romance Festivals. They're always at the bar though because only adult Sims are allowed at the Festival itself.
I see new townie teens at the Art Center where they appear with skill level 5 or 6 in either violin, piano, or guitar. From there I frequently see them appear at the Spice Festival busking near the food stalls. I have also seen several of these teens at the Romance Festival selling normal quality paintings although the game has generously cheated them up to level 10 Painting.
So where are the young adults that I've added to the game? Usually out walking the streets or "out of town" while nightclubs and social events are filled with adult pre-made Sims or adult townies. - Aren't there any plain old adult adults? Once you're an adult, it hardly matters.
- If you have Get Together, you can use making a club as a sort of ha k to meet others by specifying age, marital status, that sort of thing.

The Blue Velvet Nightclub has been lucky for my Sims, also the Rattlesnake Juice Bar.
That's so neat to know. I gave up on the rattlesnake juice bar because it plays elevator music, and is always empty except for like 2 elders, and a hideous barfly or two. I thought it was that way on purpose but apparently it was my save?
