Got a current playthrough that involves most of the sims i have created over time, but my focus are on two families, the Foster family and the Jones family.
Right now the Foster's are Cassadra an Anna, both married to each other, i created a backstory where they had a pionering proceedure where they could have a child, but it cost a lot of money. They had Stacie as their only born child who was born out of Anna, Stacie turned out really well as a child. They now found enough money to do it again and have a boy with the proceedure, a baby at this stage, he was born out of Cassandra. The couple have no future desires for any more children.
They currently live in Oasis Springs. They are also look after several other kids they brought up so Stacie wouldn't be alone, they are guardians and not parents of these children, but they treat them like their own. Anna and Cassandra are subtly trying to get Lea Dennis and Stacie to see interest in each other so when they become teenagers they can advance that interest along by themselves, while Salvador Jiminez and Marcus Lorman learn as they go and when they become teenagers, they need to find their own way forward outside the household. Natalie Barclay is a stray that was picked up by the family after she was found sleeping rough in an alley way. Natalie has since flourished in the household.
The second family i'm working from are the Jones family, and until recently they were just Samantha, Kevin and their teenaged daughter Abigail. Samantha and Kevin finally got together much to the delight of their daughter Abilgail who played matchmaker. They had Abigail when they were at the end stage of their child lives, they were experiementing one day and the accident happened, it wasn't until 4 months later, far too late to abort that Samantha would have to carry the pregnancy and c-section to have Abigail. The parents of both Kevin and Samantha had to help them looking after Abigail. Luckily Abigail turned out to be a real nice girl, but her parents didn't have any time for each other, only for Abigail and school.
Kevin and Samantha are considering moving Abigail out and she is likely to end up in Newcrest, as there is no other place to end up. Meanwhile Abigail's parents have had a son called Morris, which means Abigail is now very much second best, even so she loves her new born brother and in between her activities through the days she makes time to feed and cuddle her brother, give him attention and love, she is somewhat attached to her new born brother and the imprinting hasn't gone unnoticed with the parents when he starts crying around them and stops when Abigail wonders in. That has complicated the matter of moving Abigail out.. for now. (Abigail's imprinting on her brother was completely out of coindicence, there was no plan to imprint on the boy to keep herself around on purpose, on the contrary the thought has never entered her mind even if it has on Samantha and Kevin's)
Lastly, i have a family that are immortal, the Woodrowe's, however they aren't supernatural, they are ordinary sims with a special trait.
