Where is the island in Windenburg supposed to be based off of?

As far as I can tell, Windenburg is based of Germany and it mostly looks that way, with its architecture and scenery, but the island seems kind of out of place. Are German luxury resort islands a real...

Ohhh okay that could make sense. Given that Windenburg was the third world, I can see why the Sims team intended it to be pretty wide in its theme.
