- alanmichael12 years agoSeasoned AceThe result of this survey is deeply surprising. Years and years of complaining about object babies, missing toddlers, preteens, elders, families, families, families and then this. I guess Maxis was just right with their concept in 2014. The game could be much better today had they just focused on things to do for young adults & everyone else instead of wasting so much resources on child-related familiy dynamic which only results in Sims with 30 traits and a collection of icons.
- NateWhiplash2 years agoSeasoned VeteranThe majority of my sims are young adults, and I would be too if I could lol
- netney522 years agoSeasoned AceOf all of them it’s toddler I get the most gameplay from them mixed in with their parents and other household dynamics. After playing 4 infants and nearly killing off their father in the process (I’m playing a teenage mutant ninja turtle save) I’ve learned to love the ease of the toddler gameplay and appreciate it so much more.
- RememberJoy2 years agoSeasoned AceYoung Adults because they have the most to do and I like taking them on adventures.
Toddlers are my next favorite because they're so cute and I enjoy the challenge of raising them.
After that it goes teens, children, infants, adults, newborns, elders. "alanmichael1;c-18310817" wrote:

@alanmichael1
I can't speak for others but my young adult sims are all family oriented. There is very little dating and partying in my game. My young adults are career oriented and responsible, enthusiastic parents.
I love the newborn, infant, toddler, child, and teen stages but choosing one of them would have implied I don't care as much for the others.
Seems like choosing young adult has the same implication. ?- Jellysimwich2 years agoNew TravelerAdults

I concur with this.
And now, I will checkout the preteen mod! I had no idea there was one... Looks like I've been missing out on gameplay. - simsimsere2 years agoSeasoned AceI made my choice between young adult and adult. There's not that much difference really gameplay wise, they can do the same things. Adults have the midlife crisis now and I could say that makes them a little bit more interesting. However to me all life stages are important and I want to play my sims from newborn to elder, that's what makes them full characters to me. So saying people only want to play young adults based on this poll is very misleading when it's the whole lifespan that shapes up the sim and who they are (when aging on).
- Katofhyrule122 years agoSeasoned AceI stopped playing the child stage when I stopped using mods. This thread made me remember how much fun I had playing as a home-alone child with the father winter trait and the erratic trait on Mt Komorebi. I only like the erratic trait in children. It becomes more extreme as a sim ages. The mildest form used for children is perfect.
The teens are just too tall and the constant crushing on EVERYONE around them does not allow teens to act as the characters that I create. If EA had made the teens shorter, they would have been able to do less. I would be dissatisfied with that even more.
Children do not do the things I hate most in the later stages. I guess I like them so much for what they do NOT do. - @alanmichael1 I don't think that by asking us to choose our favorite lifestage, we are being asked if we would like to play with *only* that lifestage. Family play presupposes that someone likes to play with more than one lifestage at once.
I think the little ones are cute and I do enjoy creating stories for my elders, but I have to say I focus on the teens the most. I just love helping them grow up and turn into their future selves. (Any psychologically astute readers may remember that I have a real-life teen daughter.) - FreddyFox12342 years agoSeasoned AceI don’t know which life stage is my favourite. I do spend longest with my sims as young adults as there’s so much more for them to do at that stage. But I absolutely love the infant and toddler stages, even though they’re shorter, and teens have been made more interesting with HSY. My least favourite stage is definitely elder as I find it hard to make their lives very different from adults.
