So I just bought a new computer so I could finally play the Sims with higher graphic settings (my old one was ancient and weak). Now the waterfall that looks like the one in Aurora Skies is blurry even on high end cards. It's the location with several falls.

@Rhiannon1307 it looks like it depends on the state of your Sulani, my pics I took now, both far and zooming look just like yours. Its a quick new save I began to show you how it looks. Which settings to make underwater objects less blurry?

AFAIK, that's how the underwater graphics are designed... Giving that ripple effect.

It wasn't like that when I tried it on my old computer, though. I had only set "object details" to high (which didn't agree with my graphics card and everything went black after a few moments). All other settings were still on low or medium. So I wonder which of the settings makes that effect. I mean sure, I could try... but I have to switch the game on and off every time.

What kind of card does your new pc have? The higher the settings the better it will look. I have all my settings set to high. My card is a GTX 660. You're card may be a low or medium end card.

I have a GTX 1060. Should be more than enough. Google tells me:

If i were you i'd go to nvidia cpanel and manage 3d settings make sure to choose application-specific in dropdown settings in each options if available.

Yeah now I have the next problem. The CP won't open. Maybe it has something to do with the clean boot I had to do because Sims wouldn't start?

@mcrudd Thank you, although from your screenshot it looks very similar to mine. If you zoom in further, what does it look like?
