There are no right or wrong answers which is what makes this questions so much fun. You get a glimpse inside the head canon of your fellow simmers.
A. Willow Creek- For me it is New Orleans. The art style, with the moss draped trees, the plantation style mansions, and the buildings which have a real French Quarter flair and the shotgun style homes.
B. Oasis Springs- This is a toss up for me. Mostly I think of it as a high desert city like Bakersfield or Barstow, California. I could see the case for Phoenix or Tuscon.
C. Newcrest- I've never really played it except in my current main save and it's acting as a bit of a Washington D.C. kind of place.
D. Magnolia Promenade- Is a New Orleans suburb.
E. Windenburg- Germany is an excellent reference, but also Switzerland and Austria. Definitely Central Europe anyway.
F. San Myshuno- There are some aspects, like the Spice District, that feel like New York City. The Fashion and Art District have a bit of that too, but when you pull the camera all the back and look at the whole panorama, it feels more like Tokyo or Hong Kong.
G. Forgotten Hollow- Romania. It just drips, pun intended, with the Bram Stoker, classic Dracula vibes.
H.Brindleton Bay- I like the reference to Maine. Anywhere in New England fits really. I tend to think of it more like coastal Massachusetts. Not quite Cape Cod, but close.
I. Del Sol Valley- That one is Hollywood and Malibu all rolled up into package. This world deserves to be so much bigger.
J. Strangerville- Roswell, New Mexico/Area 51. Aliens. Secret military base. That was an instant connection in my headcanon.
K. Sulani- Hawaii is the obvious first reaction, but it could be any of the Pacific Island countries. Usually in my stories it is Hawaii.
L. Glimmerbrook- Like Newcrest it's hard for me to say. I was so disappointed in it and the whole pack that I haven't played it enough to really get a feel for it and never plays a role in any of my saves. It's just taking up hard drive space.
M. Britechester- Oxford, England. Another one that for me the connection was there before the pack even dropped.
N. Evergreen Harbor- Portland, Oregon. This one could easily be Seattle too, but I tend to go with Portland.
O. Mt. Komorebi- Japan. It's hard to see that one as anyplace else, but it's still whatever anybody wants it to be.
P. Henford-On-Bagley- The English countryside. I'm not sure exactly where in England, but definitely there. I have seen The Cotswolds region mentioned by others.
Q. Tartosa- In my headcanon it's Italy, specifically the West Coast, Tuscany, Lazio, Campania, that area.
R. Moonwood Mill- That the Pacific Northwest, but it could be anywhere in that larger region. The coastal logging towns in Washington and Oregon are what come to mind. I don't know if they mentioned what the mill produced before it shut down, but to me it was a lumber mill. If it was a steel mill, I could see that possibly being in the Allegheny Mountain region of Western Pennsylvania.
S. Copperdale- To me it feels like the Appalachians. Western North Carolina and Virginia up into Maryland and Pennsylvania.
