Who is this???

I named her "Melinda Best" in my game.

She's one of the starter sims at CAS. At least that's where I have seen her.

That's Kat Jenkins. She's in the Maxis gallery. She had the misfortune of testing the Tiny Living stuff pack for me and getting crushed by the murphy bed on her first night in her tiny home and becoming a ghost. I like this Sim. She's one of my favourite archeologists and jungle explorers. I think the CAS is pulling Sims from the gallery sometimes.

Quirky, creative, a hopeless romantic... Kat is a sweetheart who has aspirations to chase a career in fashion. Her dark secret: She's obsessed with dinosaurs and other buried secrets. While part of her would like to give up fashion and pursue archaeology, it's a little out of her comfort zone. For now, she's content to collect as many dino-curios and fossils as she can and display them around the house... or is she?

The gallery ones generally look better than the random ones and have nicer outfits and little backstories. I would like it if there was an option in CAS where you could choose between a random Sim or a Maxis made Sim in the gallery. There are so many premades there. I would be prefer they spawn as random townies. I think MC mod can do something like this but I'm not sure.

Yep, MCCC can do that. I have it set so that the game only has a 10% chance of just "randomizing" any Sim it creates. The other 90% are pulled from my gallery. You could set it to 100% from the gallery, but I actually enjoy a little bit of random showing up.

I just had a Sim show up at the retail potion shop that one of my sims runs and she wasn't wearing any pants. Half the customers wouldn't shop because they were reacting to her pantsless state...for like 2 hours (sim time)! I feel like a Sim with no pants had to have been one of those 10%...

I was playing one save and my sim was at a bar looking for husband material. She was working on one sim when I suddenly notice a new sim come in. Something about him shouted at me to look at his face. I did and was shocked to see my vampire from a different save. I did not know that the game would put in sims from my library. It was quiet the surprise.

Kat is one of my favorite premades. I saved her into my Gallery, so MCCC chooses her as one of my supporting actors from time to time. She got a lead role in one save, when my Sim chose her as his romantic interest. They had adorable twin daughters together.

@Elliandre @Stormkeep Z and I have had MCCC pick all our townies from our Gallery, but I think setting the parameters so it picks some randoms might be a fun way to get some new Sims into our world. We've had a few show up in various states of undress, too. One young woman attended the Spice Festival in her underthings and a lovely pair of green wellies.

I will have to try to us MC to pull in the gallery townies. I already have a bunch in my game though. So I guess if they duplicate, I will just change their hair colour and name so they don't look the same.

It has a setting to bypass pulling in a Sim if one already exists with the same name, which helps a lot in reducing any chance of duplicates. If you also have it set to automatically change last names when Sims get married, though, it can still happen.

My current game has gone through 60 weeks of Sim time with both of those settings and I've not seen a duplicate yet, though. I do have a TON of Sims in my gallery, which Imagine also helps reduce the chance of that happening. And I really mean, a ton. I love to visit the gallery every day and download Sims and households that I like...and I've been doing that since the game came out without ever deleting any.
