Lol that's twisted! But you're missing my point. I don't want to kill the husband. I'm not planning to kill him either. I don't usually play like that. My sims live pretty normal lives. But if the husband died in a real accident (eg in a fire, or by by electrocution), that would spice things up for me because it would force me to think about a different story for my sims (What will the widow do now? She had just quoted her job! Will she marry again? Will she become a gloomy sim from now on? Etc). A story different than the one I had initially planned. Such unexpected things make the game more fun, at least for me.
