Who thinks we should vote for a stuff pack each year?? :)

When I see what our collective vote for, laundry and knitting: “Maybe we will just hope that Maxis feel like doing an occult pack this time.“


I like the concept of voting but I am a rotational occult player. I wanted Happy Haunts. For me personally it is better to let Maxis chose. Higher odds of fun themes then.

It was interesting to get so much detailed information about the process every step of the way, but my tastes and interests unfortunately differ from the majority of the community. I am not even referring to the overall theme (although I did not vote for that either) but the details. I am still in disbelief about how that rocking chair won and some of the CAS items got in. I wouldn't be upset about more community packs, but I don't explicity want them either. I guess the journey was fun, but I always knew I wouldn't end up where I wanted to be.

I don't know how I feel about this. I love the process and the involvement but the things simmers choose......are.....questionable......?

No, I think it sounds like they did a great job with this pack, and I think I'm going to be very happy with the results, but I'm not sure I trust the rest of you enough to want to make this a regular thing. :D Although to be fair, I'm not sure I entirely trust what the official team would come up with on their own, either (cough, Strangerville... cough, Spark'd).

What I would love to see is for them put this level of attention to detail into creating all packs in the future, no matter what the theme is or how it's chosen.

I personally think from what I've heard of Happy Haunts (I missed the voting since I was away from Sims due to health issues) that it would be better expanded into a GP, but that's just my opinion.

When you look at the results of the last two community SP votes (Laundry Day and now Nifty Knitting) it seems like the majority of the community are basically ordinary players who want ordinary content. And they want things their ordinary Sims can do, like laundry or home crafts. Not everyone wants to play occults in every save -- but even occults could learn knitting and sell their stuff on Plopsy. B)

They could always include only "exciting" things in the next stuff pack vote! All the choices could leave out any "mundane" subject such as laundry or knitting! :)....I personally think knitting looks so fun because of the results of your labor. It's an artsy skill for our sim with a hodgepodge of fun things we can make because of the skill! Looks like it will be my favorite stuff pack yet!
