- I'd say my dorms have a good variety of body types. Although a lot of microwave meal eating seems to help pack on the weight fast, though. :D

I would say 98% of my NPC uni roommates are really overweight. Is this by design or a bug? I don’t mind a chunky sim, I’m not a stick insect myself but it’s everybody! I’m playing with no cc/mods.
Roommates keeps bringing food to the dorm a LOT of it like high calorie ones at that. That's why.
Lobster Thermador, Pasta, Roasted Chicken, Omelet, cookies and cake. So, a lot of ritzy food to junk food.
Plus some of them be bhoarding it in their inventory and eating them (even when they go bad EW). - My sim gained a ton of weight at college. I kept having her bike and jog everywhere. In the end I just waited until college was over and bought her an insta-lean potion.
- LiELF6 years agoLegendOne of my Sims gained weight in the first semester and I have a few heavy roommates. I've started taking the good food that dorm students bring and putting it away in my mini fridge to eat later so I don't have to make instant meals, lol.
- My sims are all starting off thin and gaining weight. I think its probably the lack of gym equipment and the high fat/calorie foods. Roommates are constantly bringing in lobster thermador and cookies and cakes and the like and everyone is eating it and not working out.

- paigeisin56 years agoSeasoned AceI never had a problem with my Sims gaining weight until Island Living with it's 'helpful' neighbors coming by and dropping off food. Now it looks as if this questionable tradition has made it's way into DU. We were told this wouldn't happen unless the active Sim's hunger bar was low. It doesn't matter if my Sims are hungry or just finished a meal, those townies show up with plates of kahlua pork sometimes twice a day. Why did the teams think this was something we'd want in DU? I am a rotational player, and try to stick with spending three to four days with each of my played Sims, but whenever I return to a lot, my Sims have gained a lot of weight during my absence. As with the sick pets I am getting upon returning to a lot, now there is the problem of my Sims becoming overweight. This really makes rotational play difficult. The more research I do into DU, the more inclined I am to wait until the modders come up with a few fixes for the irritating stuff happening that makes no sense, and has no meaningful purpose. When DU was announced I was not excited at all. Then I saw all the new features, watched a couple Let's Play vods, and the update fixed some of the bugs I have been experiencing, allowing me to delete over twenty mods. So I thought I'd like to add DU to my library. Now I'm not going to do it. From everything I have read here in the forum, there are many things going on that have nothing to do with our Sims getting an education, and actually add to the list of irritations that will require adding more mods back into my game.
The teams added new meal options to the microwave, then made eating those new meals a way to torment our Sims with an uncomfortable moodlet. Why? Where is the logic in doing that? I'd be forced to cheat in order to make my Sim happy by cancelling that moodlet. Random Sims wander in and leave plates of food everywhere to spoil and make every Sim in the dorm uncomfortable. Time management is already difficult enough with classes, university events, holidays, homework, and building skills. Why did the teams make leftover food an issue in all of this? It is not amusing, it does not add relevant gameplay, and it is irritating because it is illogical. The active, playable Sim then has to drop everything and clean the entire dorm which cuts into the time needed to complete homework or attend an event. And these are just one or two of the irritations I have read about that are keeping me from buying DU. I'll wait for the smoke to clear, and see what the modders can do before I buy this pack. - mariefoxprice836 years agoSeasoned Ace

I put a punchbag in my sim's dorm and forgot to use it, and nobody else used it either! I am definitely going to make a dorm with a proper gym though and see if it makes a difference. Next time I'll have my sims remain in their home though so they shouldn't pile the weight on if they are eating home-cooked meals. - SheriSim6 years agoSeasoned Ace

Just pause the game and drag the food to a trash can, doesn’t that work in University like any other lots? - MrGiggleTickle6 years agoSeasoned NewcomerTry staying skinny on a diet of ramen noodles, depression and self-loathing.
