Why are infants and toddlers nearly impossible to take care of?

I find infants and toddlers difficult to enjoy to play with because they are too annoying, everytime an infant or toddler Sim cries for attention the adult Sims have to cancel literally everything els...

I find infants much harder than toddlers. My toddlers pretty much do their own thing without much parent interaction. Infants need constant attention.
