Why can’t I set the table?!
When my sims goes to a public lot or someone else’s house, and there is a table there, I can’t set it. Can I only do it in my house? Or if so is there a way I can do it? Cause it’s quite necessary for me.

Try having the 500 point "Always Welcome" reward trait. It may allow the interaction. But in general, it is BAD manners for a guest to usurp the duties of a host, unless specifically invited to beforehand, and table-setting is firmly in the "host" department.
You mean like visiting your daughter and wanting to cook for her? :joy:- The Always Welcome trait will allow you to cook and sleep in another house. I am not sure about setting the table.
I use this trait often when I have Sims who are extended family or are romantically involved. Unfortunately, it will work in any Sim home, not just family and friends.
