Why can't my dog swim in the ocean?
The option is there, but she won't go in. She gets the "can't do that" bubble over her head whenever I ask someone to swim with her. The human will go in the water, but the dog just stands there baffl...

Edit: The more I think about this, the more disappointing it is. Dogs can already swim, how difficult would it have been to code in the ability for dogs to swim in the ocean? Unless we're missing something and they actually can.
Also, I ran into the problem of not being able to go for a jog when I built a house on one of the small islands. Annoying.
My sims little dog was able to swim in the ocean with no problems and even play fetch to go retrieve the ball. Haven't tried 2alking a dog on the islands just yet.
