- OldeSimsFan4 years agoSeasoned AceWhen all else fails, go into world view, type 'CAS.fulleditmode', and start adjusting the sliders. I have played sims that live on salads, eat only when hungry, exercise regularly in some way, and still gain weight. Will check out that guide, thanks.
- I use the instalean potion, althought it does cost 750 points. that's because i generally don't have the icecream machine in my sim's houses.
- I had a problem with that i University, all the room mates got really fat since they didn't train anything so I had to start a fitness club taking them all to a gym when my played Sims went to exersize

My Main Sim keeps getting fat. No matter what I do. I end up having to give her the icecream to control her weight. How can I stop this?
The treadmill works. But I think its something in game. I complained in a thread a while back ago. Why, because every single sim in every single family in every single save game would age up to teen as obese. It drives me crazy. Once in a while is fine. But when the starting parents are normal weight and you never fill the kids food bar its just too much. I think recently it is getting a little better, maybe they fixed it ? - @Behappy1st I don't know if this will work for everyone, but for me, the only child sims who aged up to overweight teens were children who had never played on monkey bars or the jungle gym or done anything else athletic during their childhoods.

That being said, it was hilarious that they loved food carts so much and kept being the one sim show up at every public area in San Myshuno just to eat and it would've been even better if I dressed this sim up as a bear and named them Winnie the Pooh.
Sometimes this game gives us happy accidents. - make her athletic
- ThriorTheSecond4 years agoSeasoned AceThe calorie system is pretty annoying since it pays no attention to any "recommended calories per day" thresholds (like it is in real life) and instead just adds it all up, making it so that if you just eat you'll inevitably gain weight. The calorie system would make more sense if there was a threshold, e.g. sims only start gaining weight if their calories per day surpasses a certain amount.
I play with long lifespan and pretty much every child gets fat (one even immediately when aging up from toddler to child). I guess major reason is their very limited exercising options while, surprise, they kinda have to eat. - Behappy1st4 years agoSeasoned Ace

I try to finish all 4 aspirations for kids and it still did it. - SheriSim4 years agoSeasoned Ace

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that jogging (either around the neighbourhood or on a machine) burns the fat more effectively that the strength building exercises. Carl's guide (mentioned by @georgia_simsx above) is a really good resource for that sort of thing.
Yes, body building mostly makes you gain muscle in the sims 4 while jogging helps you lose fat.
