I start it up and it feels like a good three minutes I'm not sure, because I don't time it, but when it goes to the screen where you choose the household you want to play it takes forever to load? Do I have to sit there and watch the screen load, so it will go faster?
Not sure, could be your computer check speed on it cause mine loads no more than a moment best choice check your pc speed see maybe the cause.- I’ve waited about half an hour before. Turns out my sim had tooo many sims on her relationship tab and items in her inventory. It was only her household too, cause other households loaded just fine. Had to create a new game and move her over, loaded up in about 1min
- Other than the Sims/household inventories, you might want to consider deleting the in-game notification. Other than that, try to delete the game cache (you can find it in the EA folder). If you play the game online & browsing through the gallery, it will create more & more cache. That’s also the reason why I prefer to play offline.
I won’t recommend to repair (although I do that everytime before I play) because some players encountered issues when they repaired the game. Yet, it works very well for me.
If you have a great specs machine, sometimes, it’s just depends on the lot sizes & the worlds. You might want to check your FPS too. - I play on console. I just so happen to time how long it loads tonight because I was annoyed that it crashed. I predicted 7-8 minutes. It literally took about 12 1/2 minutes to get into my played household.
- HaneulFier5 years agoSeasoned AceIt depends on a lot of things. How big is the save? How long have you been playing it? Have you repaired your game recently? What are your specs? How many packs/CC?
On my end, the game still seems to load in seconds, and I'm in my household and playing within 3 minutes of clicking the Sims 4 icon. - texxx785 years agoSeasoned AceMy pc has lackluster specs and i own all dlc (except for JtB) and both the game and households load very fast. But i clean my cache daily... my tray and screenshots folder is almost empty... i only have 20mb of mods... i don't have cc... and my sim's inventories have few stuff, like 5 or 6 items each max...
- It shouldnt take that long, NO MATTER HOW MANY MODS YOU HAVE. I have over 20 gb on CC and my game takes seconds literally to load. Probably 8-10 seconds to the title screen, and other 8-10 to the game itself. Of course im using a SSD that is a huge difference in front of a regular hdd.
- I think it has to do with Origin to be honest.. When I ran it through Steam it was faster, but then I switched to full on Origin and I swear, it takes much longer.
The game has an army of load screens to begin with. "Tantalus;c-17793211" wrote:

Not true, because the OP hasn't provided the specs of her computer, if they are using mods/cc, or what memory is remaining on her hard drive.- idk for me it goes quite fast with no problems might be computer or save specific
cause indeed i dont have many saves or very long saves in my game
other possibility might be if the lot being loaded is very complex
cause i did have time when i had stairs with no landing on a lot for like aesthetics and it completely crashed my game everytime i exited lot but when i fixed the stairs thing no problem whatsoever
