Why is Planning a wedding so limited?
My sims were throwing a wedding. The plan event is nice in many ways, especially with Season's calendar feature. But (especially for weddings) this could have been so much better! The guest list is...

If you think a wedding is difficult in the game's contemporary setting, try playing in the 18th century where the father of the bride was definitely in control of the situation. He is unable to plan the wedding. It is limited to either the bride or the groom. In which case, I've made certain the bride meets the groom's family so that they can attend. It's a pain but the MCCC mod can make for instant relationships, so that comes in handy.
As for ye olde shotgun wedding, why not just use the elope interaction. The couple still goes through a 'wedding' of sorts.
I would really love the use of a list that the player can check or un-check, just in case crazy old uncle Bud is the last Sim you would want at your wedding. LOL It should be more like the Charity Event or the Meet & Greet, where you can invite 15 other Sims.
