- manicobsessive12 years agoSeasoned AceI made this exact same mistake! Unfortunatley, unless you change the settings, one drive automatically syncs with your pc, so anything you delete from one, deletes from the other. Is there a recycle bin on your one drive? I can't remember how I got mine back, but I have a feeling I managed to get them from a recycle bin? Good luck!

Thank you, yes i think i do have a recycle bin, I will try and retrive it from there :) - MrPlumbob2 years agoRising Ace@kiwi84 OneDrive does have a recycle bin. You have to go to the OneDrive website to access it, I believe: https://onedrive.live.com
I'd also check the recycle bin on the desktop, just in case the files ended up there. - DragonAge_3009052 years agoSeasoned AceI got the sims to work on this computer with a recent install. Awhile ago I uninstalled one drive and when I got the sims 4 to work guess where the game put the saves. On one drive online so I had to download one drive and install it so I could tell it to store the saves in my computer. Which got my save deleted. Now I'm in panic mode uploading my sim to the galley when her skills increase because I lost my save with her skills at level 10.
- GalacticGal2 years agoLegendI think I'm glad I avoid One Drive like the plague.

It's not possible to disable to documents folder only, I've tried. I think I must disable one drive completly - Caerfinon2 years agoSeasoned Ace

You can disable the documents backup in One Drive settings by going into the Sync and Backup, selecting Manage Backups in the Back Up Important PC Folders section and then disabling the sync of the Documents folder. You can then select your account page and choose only specific folders to sync.
I pause my OneDrive before starting Sims 4 and I have had no issues with the file systems for my various instances of the game. - snofnugg2 years agoNew Ace
